Sonoma County Democratic Party endorses Veronica Jacobi for District 3 County Supervisor

Public support for electing Veronica Jacobi to the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors soared to a new high with the recent endorsement of the Sonoma County Democratic Party.

In awarding its endorsement, members of the Sonoma County Democratic Central Committee cited Jacobi’s practical experience as a long-term member of the Santa Rosa City Council. “Veronica’s track record on issues that are important to us has proven her to be a strong advocate,” says Maria Peluso, chair of the Central Committee. “Her balanced positions on sustainable economic development and environment protection demonstrate the kind of leadership we need in our county government.”

The Central Committee noted Jacobi’s willingness to tackle the tough issues of water management and curbing gang and criminal activity. The Committee hailed her record on preserving open spaces and support of workers’ rights, and praised her advocacy for universal healthcare. “It was an obvious choice to endorse Veronica,” Peluso concluded. “We believe she is the strongest candidate to win the seat in the 3rd district and she has our full support.”

The Committee also donated $1,000.00 to Jacob's campaign.
