The Sonoma County Democratic Party is reaching out to 8,000 local young voters with information about the March 3, 2020 primary. During our first phase in December, we sent over 2,800 postcards to No Party Preference (NPP) voters who may want to vote in the Democratic Presidential Primary.
For our second phase, we will send postcards to 5,000 newly registered young Democrats reminding them about the importance of voting and the date of the 2020 primary. Our goal is to make voting a habit for these new voters.
We will provide the postcards, stamps, pens, scripts and a great place to write, stick a label and enjoy the company of other activists. If you have your own favorite pen(s), bring ‘em.
We do prefer that all postcards be completed at the Sonoma County Democratic Party’s Headquarters, but we can arrange take-home if they are returned to the Headquarters when completed. We will mail them from our office.
The office will be open for postcarding from 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm on the days noted for this project. Come for an hour or 3, however long you can stay. Help us plan by signing up so we will be ready for you. Drop ins are also welcome.
We need to get these postcards out before mail-in ballots drop. Afterwards, we start our next phase of voter engagement – stay tuned!
