Sonoma County’s future is on the line in the June 2nd primary election – two open seats on the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors, an open seat in the new 1st Congressional District, and SMART train funding are all on the ballot. We have the opportunity to elect two progressive Democrats – Joanna Paun in the 2nd District and Melanie Bagby in the 4th District – to the Board of Supervisors  pass Measure B to extend the SMART 1/4 cent sales tax, and send our own State Senator Mike McGuire to Washington DC!

The 2026 Campaign Season is heating up with the first primaries taking place in key swing states this month, and we have lots to do.  We continue with Phone Bank Training for 2026. We will have a monthly phone bank n-person training at our Headquarters in Santa Rosa. Click through the sign up to find dates and times.

Much of the feedback that we have heard is that Democrats need to talk with and listen to voters; not just show up days before an election to ask for their vote.  In response to this feedback, the Sonoma County Democratic Party’s initial phone banks will be to Sonoma County registered voters. We want to hear about issues they may have related to the policies and chaos of the current administration; how have they or someone they know has been impacted.

We’ll also mention the upcoming Primary (June 2nd) and General (November 3rd) Elections. We are not asking for any money.  We ARE askiing for their vote.  Back in 2020, we did a phone bank similar to this, and found many people thanked us for caring to call, and ask how they are doing. This is an important part of our voter outreach for this year’s elections.  Sonoma County voters will help determine the outcome of races on local, regional and national levels this year.  We need them to vote and we need you to reach out to them.  As we approach both of the elections (Primary and General), we will change the script to first Get Out the Vote (GOTV).

Time to get on the phones to GET OUT THE VOTE for the June 2nd Primary Election!

Ballots will be mailed starting Monday, May 4th so we need to get on the phones to ensure people are or will be voting in the June 2nd Primary Election.  We will be calling for the specific purpose of GETTING OUT THE VOTE into two specific Sonoma County Supervisorial Districts 2 and 4.

• Reminding our Sonoma County Democratic Voters to vote for the Sonoma County Democratic Party Endorsed Supervisorial Candidate in either District 2 (Southern Sonoma County) Joanna Paun, or District 4 (Northern Sonoma County) Melanie Bagby.
• And, reminding the voters to vote for the Sonoma County Democratic Party Endorsed Congressional Candidates in Sonoma County Supervisor Dostroct 2 (Southern Sonoma County) Jared Huffman for Congressional District 2, or Mike Thompson for Congressional District 4,
• And, Endosred Congressional Candidate in Supervisorial District 2, Mike McGuire for Congressional District 1,
• And, reminding the voters to vote for Sonoma Count Measure B, the SMART Train extension of the 1/4 of one cent sales tax to ensure our trains keep running.
