WHEREAS, the current Administration and its allies are pursuing illegal, immoral and unethical  actions at an alarming pace; and 

WHEREAS, the foundations of our democracy, namely the rule of law, the separation of  powers, and most importantly our sense of decency and respect for fellow citizens are under  attack; and 

WHEREAS, the people of the United States are begging for immediate bold leadership to  defend democracy, protect civil liberties and resist this assault on good governance;  

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Sonoma County Democratic Party calls upon all  Democrats to take bold, effective action to resist this move towards authoritarianism that  imperils the livelihoods and well-being of our fellow Americans; and 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Sonoma County Democratic Party urges work with  known allies such as labor, immigrant rights groups, and civil rights organizations to reach out  to and seek common cause with groups such as federal workers, farmers, youth, the elderly,  veterans, the disenfranchised and all others who are under threat, and to stand as a beacon of  hope in this perilous time.

California Democratic Party (CDP) and the Democratic National Committee (DNC).  
Public meetings of the Sonoma County Democratic Party are open to all registered Democrats.
