Sonoma County Democratic Party

WHEREAS, the current Administration and its allies are pursuing illegal, immoral and unethical actions at an alarming pace, and

WHEREAS, the foundations of our democracy, namely the rule of law, the separation of powers, and most importantly our sense of decency and respect for fellow citizens are under attack, and

WHEREAS, the people of the United States are begging for leadership to defend democracy, protect civil liberties and restore trust in government, now

THEREFORE, the Sonoma County Democratic Party resolves to call upon all Democrats to take bold, effective action to counter this assault on good governance that imperils the livelihoods and well-being of our fellow Americans, and

WE FURTHER RESOLVE, to work with known allies such as labor, immigrant rights groups, civil rights organizations, and to reach out and seek common cause with groups such as federal workers, farmers, youth, the elderly, veterans, the disenfranchised and all others who are under threat, and to stand as a beacon of hope in this perilous time.
