FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Sonoma County Democratic Party fully supports our local, state and national public health officials in advocating for all to be vaccinated and receive follow-up boosters for COVID-19. The efficacy of vaccines has been scientifically verified and data collected globally has overwhelmingly shown that vaccinated populations are better protected from both the Delta and Omicron strains versus unvaccinated populations. We applaud those local elected officials who set policy that meets or exceeds the public health guidelines to ensure safety for all at public meetings while continuing to offer virtual options. The Healdsburg City Council has our full support in their decision to require proof of vaccination status for those attending council meetings in-person.
