Creatives Contest Overview The Sonoma County Democratic Party is sponsoring a creatives contest celebrating the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Middle Schoolers, High Schoolers, and Young Adults (post-high school, up to age 25) are eligible to participate. Contestants are invited to submit original art, writing, or a performance inspired by this enlightening passage from the Declaration of Independence: Entries should be respectful to all cultures, races, religions, and orientations, and be uplifting and inspiring. CADEM 2026 State Convention

The California Democratic Party 2026 State Endorsing Convention will be taking place from Friday, Feb. 20, through Sunday, Feb. 22 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. The focus will be on endorsements for federal and state races, platform setting for the 2026 elections, and election strategy. Anyone can attend everything but the General Sessions at no charge. This includes the large area with informational booths and the many caucuses. This is a great opportunity to learn more about CADEM and network with Democrats from across California. Resolution to condemn the Senators who capitulated to the Trump Administration and supported ending the shutdown

WHEREAS the Republican Party is in control of all three branches of the Federal Government and is determined to reduce the social safety net for people who live from pay check to pay check and those who work for a minimum wage, and who are too old or sick to work full time; and WHEREAS the Democratic Party strategy to protect the most vulnerable individuals and families in the country was to bring the Republicans to the bargaining table by refusing to support these Republican policies and as a result had seen very positive results from the November 2025 [...]
